PLAYER BIOS
MERLINIX
Merlinix joined Infinity Wars right around Gold launch, and immediately gravitated towards the fast-paced nature of Aggro decks. Their first constructed deck was a Flame Dawn / Genesis variant, and since then they have innovated on the work of prior Aggro lists with their own unique spin. Merlin made a household name for themselves among the older greats when they reached rank 1 during the Order release, and will likely be going for rank 1 again during the Oppression ranked set. They are one of the only two players to ever reach 2700+ ranked points, along with Adorabear. On top of this, during the first official Team Tournament Exhibition, they fought and won against all of Team Metashift Gaming alone, refusing to lose a single Best of 3 set while their own team watched the victories from the sidelines. Their best rivalry is currently Adorabear, who is by far one of the best players in Infinity Wars history. Whenever these two giants clash, the games will almost always be very close regardless of the victor. |

HELIOSAFLAME
HeliosaFlame is both a competitive player and a very active Infinity Council member, so their competitive knowledge is fairly comprehensive. As such, they keep a close eye on the competitive scene, and often fine tune and optimize competitive decks to maintain their edge. Their first solo ranked competitive deck was a Genesis / Verore combination known as Genocide, which used a combination of aggressive buffed characters and character killing abilities to overwhelm and control their opponents. They later utilized another similar style, Hermit, which combines Warpath and Verore instead, with a similar midrange + control design. This style of proactive midrange with a splash of control is a common theme throughout their career. In terms of achievements, they’ve won multiple events, such as the first Pauper Monthly Tournament run by Teremus, a Weak Wolf tournament, and general regular solo ranked games. On OTKO, they will surely be bringing their deep knowledge of midrange play to unofficial tournaments and official Lightmare games alike. |

LOGADD
A man of few words, Logadd snuck into the competitive scene sometime before Ascension, using anything from triple Genesis decks to Verore / Warpath swarmer decks to a few aggro lists. They have a knack for seeing card interactions that even the most veteran players would miss, and this talent often goes unnoticed due to their somewhat reclusive nature. On Day 1 of the Oppression set, for example, they had already created multiple decks that even the Infinity Council did not foresee (Ruins of Veroria / Heal, Nysrugh / Last Sleeper). This creativity is a common theme throughout their IW history thusfar. Logadd’s competitive play before OTKO was a combination of solo ranked and tournament play, including several 2nd and 1st tournament placings in official matches. |

BESTSAKUYANA
Originally a high level competitive player, BestSakuyaNA has slowly transitioned from less of a player to more of a coaching role. Originally they gained notoriety from streaming their solo ranked play on Twitch TV. For one season, they took an account to diamond in two days using nothing but what they could get from IW’s Campaign rewards plus a single Starter Deck, in an experiment to show that IW was not “pay-to-win” by design. Once official tournaments began, they started facing some of the older veterans on a regular basis, such as Adorabear and Manchy. From solo ranked, tournaments, and the Infinity Council, they assembled a team of like-minded players to form OTKO. They spend most of their time alternating between Infinity Council work and helping to foster the IW competitive scene with decklists, team information, guides, and videos, along with management decisions with OTKO. Since their competitive edge has likely dulled due to a lack of general solo ranked practice compared to their regularly practicing team members, they may have a difficult time carrying their weight for their team in the Oppression season in ranked and tournament games. |
